Bevenic participates in a material research project of the University of Eastern Finland and Savonia University of Applied Sciences
Bevenic Oy participates in a material research project of the University of Eastern Finland and Savonia University of Applied Sciences. The aim of the project is to develop know-how to support the regional companies in green transition transition. Bevenic’s goal is to enhance responsibility, green transition solutions and circular economy.
With the help of the project, the cooperation between research institutes and companies will strengthen. In addition to material research solutions, condition monitoring, measurement technology, artificial intelligence and damage analysis are developed in the project, as well as transfer of know-how between different parties. The project is co-funded by European Union and the duration of the project is two years and four months.
Due to the developed solutions, for example, different materials and impurities in them, can be studied, and thereby the use of dangerous or challenging materials can be reduced in the future. For example, the crystal structure of different materials can be examined with X-ray diffraction, i.e. XRD analysis.
With the support of strong technical know-how in materials, supply chain reliability can be improved, and at the best, the life cycle of materials and products can be extended. Materials expertise can also be used to reduce the use of raw materials and increase recycling.
